This app - The Multiplication Champ - actually t r a i n s the multiplication table (1 to 10), in the truest sense of the word. It will train its user to such a degree as to become a real champion in the field of the multiplication table.
It is conceived as a professional tool accompanying class at primary school by offering additional training of the multiplication table.
But, by the same token, it is a real g a m e that fosters concentrating on a given task and allows for becoming a fast and proficient player by widely making use of gestures and drag and drop moves - this is the fun part of the app.
It has been designed with mobile devices in mind (i.e., phones on the go), but may be used at home with any tablet device as well.
The t a r g e t e d a u d i e n c e is the kid, from 7 to 11 years of age:
- kids that are about to acquire and practise the multiplication table a t p r i m a r y s c h o o l
- kids a f t e r p r i m a r y s c h o o l who want or need to recap or improve their proficiency in the multiplication table
- at the level of "play", this app will prove a suitable means for p r e s c h o o l c h i l d r e n as well, wanting to play with numbers and basic calculation.
Being a real trainer of the multiplication table, this app wont be nice and easy-going all the time - as a trainer usually will want to unleash the real performance of his team, he will challenge his players, at training and when measuring their performance.
But as he will want to encourage his team just as well, there will have to be room for stressless and comfortable play, too.
All of that is allowed for by the app. It enables
- a c q u i r i n g the multiplication table (1 to 10) by using flash cards
- p l a y i n g with the multiplication table in a stressless and comfortable setting (well suited for preschool children as well)
- p r a c t i s i n g the multiplication table under conditions resembling a real exam situation (there is a time limit for solving the tasks)
- being e x a m i n e d in the strictest sense of the word by being put under pressure of time and rules of performance appraisal.
As a prize for all that effort and labouring, the user will be rewarded with
- up to five Small Stars in the course of the Small Stars exams (the user is tested on one single row of the multiplication table only, one by one)
- up to five Big Stars in the course of the Big Stars exams (all respective rows of the multiplication table are tested at random and at the same time)
